ABOUT

Our story began with CHANCE!

After the very sudden and unexpected death of a very beloved family dog, Chance, Laura began questioning whether she had missed a sign or didn't see something that could have helped save Chance's life. He was a 9 1/2 year old hound mix who had been a part of the family since he was 8 weeks old. Following his death, Laura went in search of knowledge, and what she found was a new path for her life.  Through her training to become a Pet First Aid & CPR Instructor, Laura discovered that there is so much information to learn, even though she has had pets her whole life. The problems is, our pets can't tell us when something hurts, and often they mask it when they are in pain.  Becoming very familiar with what your pet's "normal" looks like can help you identify when something is wrong.

It is the mission of Four Footed Family to share what we have learned and what we continue to learn, so pet families and pet professionals can be prepared to do whatever they can to help an animal in medical crisis.
